Tomás Mejías is a middle aged taxi driver, used to the night shift to avoid the crowds.

Tomás is sullen and taciturn, even with his own taxi fellows.

In his youth, he was an aspiring champion for the European heavyweight boxing title, but a degenerative condition in his knuckles got him away from his dremas. Hi is now a widowed father of Raquel, a college student in her first year with whom he lives, but with no emotional relationship between them.
